Essential Qualifications and Experience

Essential criteria for this position:

•  Current Australian registration in nursing (AHPRA)

•  A valid National Police Certificate

• A valid Working With Children (WWC) Check

• Proof of up-to-date vaccinations

• Current drivers licence & own car

• Immunisation competency or willingness to obtain

Desired Criteria:

· General Practice Nursing experience     

· Extensive experience with CDM, TCA's & Health assessment as well as familiarity with MBS codes

· Immunisation certification preferred

· Wound Care experience preferred

· Experience with Medical Director/Best Practice, Pen CS, Cubiko, Hotdoc and MyGPMPtool 

Casual/Part Time

Darlington Medical Centre is an accredited General Practice that has been providing excellent healthcare to the local community for the past three years. During this time, we have become a highly respected and well-established practice.

A position has become available for an experienced and autonomous nurse to join our busy, friendly and passionate team. This is a casual position with the potential to become a permanent part-time role for the right candidate. The successful candidate will also have the flexibility to relieve in case of unplanned and planned leave.

We pride ourselves on our patient-centred care and are seeking an outstanding nurse who shares our same values. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently, but also be a team player. Experience in all aspects of general practice is preferred, but we are also willing to provide training to the right candidate.

This position is perfect for a nurse who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized and pays attention to detail, and has a strong emphasis on efficiency and workflow.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Including, but not limited to:

- Preparing Chronic Disease Management plans and Health Assessments

- Adult and Children Vaccination

- Assisting GP’s with procedures, Ear Syringe & Iron Infusion

- Preparing Chronic Disease Management plans and Health Assessments

- Basic investigations including ECG, Spirometry & Doppler

- Daily co-ordination of the treatment room: stock control, sterilisation, general maintenance and care of medical instruments and equipment

- Preventative healthcare and Education

-Cold Chain Management

- Wound dressings and removal of sutures

- Effective management of patient reminder/recall systems

- Coordination, management and maintenance of patient clinical data

Medical Receptionist role
